I'm partnered with a Global Manufacturer, on a new Senior Accountant , Tax role. This is a high-visibility role offering ownership across tax, compliance, and core accounting functions.
Role Summary
This position plays a key role in managing sales & use tax processes , supporting month-end close , and contributing to audit and compliance efforts . You'll collaborate cross-functionally and act as a subject matter expert on tax-related inquiries while gaining exposure across broader accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sales & use tax activities including rate setup, filings, reconciliations, and third-party coordination
- Serve as the go-to resource for internal tax-related questions and customer service inquiries
- Support month-end close with journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Assist with financial audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory filings
- Contribute to special projects and research related to state compliance and accounting issues
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced education a plus)
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, including multi-state sales & use tax expertise
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting systems (JD Edwards huge plus!) and tools Avalara and/or Vertex
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
